What is IMAP?
The International Marketing Assistance Programme or IMAP aims to encourage Trade Associations and Chambers (TACs) to work with IE Singapore to help Singapore-based companies internationalise successfully. Introduced on 1 April 2002, it helps TACs defray part of their costs of organising business missions and Singapore Pavilions at international trade fairs.

IMAP APPLICATION GUIDELINES:

1. BENEFITS:
- IMAP operates on a reimbursement basis. It supports up to 50% of eligible expenses
incurred i.e. for space rental.

- Each company is eligible for IMAP support up to a maximum of 36sqm although companies may occupy space beyond 36sqm.

- Each company will be eligible for IMAP support for participation under the Singapore Pavilion up to 6 times a year (1 January – 31 December). Companies which have participated in more than 6 trade fairs are not eligible for IMAP support.

2. COMPANIES:
To qualify for IMAP support, companies must be incorporated (excludes branch of a foreign company) and based in Singapore and must have at least three (3) of the following core business functions/activities being operated from Singapore:

A. Market development and planning
B. Logistics and shipping management
C. Research and development and design functions
D. Manufacturing and other value-added activity
E. Business and investment planning
F. Banking, financial & treasury functions

3. LETTER OF DECLARATION:
Exhibitors under the Singapore Pavilion will be required to issue a letter of declaration that the information furnished in their application are true and correct e.g.  “I declare that the information furnished in this application are true and correct and undertake to inform International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore) of any changes to the information given in this application.

I agree to furnish any additional information requested by IE Singapore.
I also understand that IE Singapore reserves the right to reject this application or to vary the amount of support without prior agreement.

NOTES:
Please be informed that approval for IMAP subsidy of up to 50% for participating companies under the Singapore Pavilion have been obtained from the relevant authorities. A letter of declaration as abovementioned under paragraph 3 will have to be issued by each participating Singapore company under the Singapore Pavilion hence your early confirmation is necessary to facilitate this process for our submission.

Please note that approval comes from IE Singapore and the subsidy claims is done only after the exhibition.
